Dynamic Supply Chain Structuring for Electronic Commerce Among Agents

چکیده
Electronic commerce and the vast amounts of real-time information available through means of EDI and the Internet are reshaping the way enterprises conduct business. A new computational infrastructure and models are needed for a business to gain a competitive edge through effective use of this information base. One of the key issues in competing in the electronic marketplace is product/service differentiation. Currently there are no computational models for multi-issue decision making in electronic commerce. We develop a model of inter-organizational electronic commerce that explores various new choices and opportunities that the electronic marketplace offers. The particular motivating applications of our work ∗ This research has been sponsored in part by ONR Grant No. N00014-96-1-1222, and by NSF grant #IRI-9612131.

TÆMS agents: enabling dynamic distributed supply chain management
Some dynamic supply chain problems are instances of a class of distributed optimization problems that TAEMS and other intelligent agents were made to address. In this paper we define a sanitized version of a discrete distributed dynamic supply chain management problem and specify how TAEMS agents, equipped with new coordination mechanisms, are being used to automate and manage the supply chain.

متن کاملBeyond Intelligent Agents: E-sensors for Supporting Supply Chain Collaboration and Preventing the Bullwhip Effect
This article presents a new concept for supporting electronic collaboration, operations, and relationships among trading partners in the value chain without hindering human autonomy. Although autonomous intelligent agents, or electronic robots (e-bots), can be used to inform this endeavor, the article advocates the development of e-sensors, i.e., software based units with capabilities beyond in...
متن کاملContract E-Negotiation in Agricultural Supply Chains
Supply chains are composed of distributed, heterogeneous and autonomous elements, whose relationships are dynamic. Agricultural supply chains, in particular, have a number of distinguishing features e.g., they are characterized by strict regulations to ensure safety of food products, and by the need for multi-level traceability. Contracts in such chains need sophisticated specification and mana...
متن کاملDual-Channel Supply Chain Coordination Strategy with Dynamic Cooperative Advertising
With the rapid development of electronic commerce, many manufacturers choose to establish dualchannel supply chains. To promote sales, the manufacturer in a dual-channel supply chain usually invests in national advertising and provides support to the retailer who promotes the goodwill through local advertisement. In our research, we use a Stackelberg differential game theoretic model to show th...
